Current skincare routine

I feel like I’m at a point where the skincare products I’m using are working really well, so what better time to share what they are!

Morning cleanse & exfoliate – Cattier Clay Scrub & Organic Pharmacy Rose Cleansing Gel

CleanseOrganic Pharmacy Rose Facial Cleansing Gel – aka my favourite cleanser in the world ever (see separate review here). After I get out of the shower (I feel better thinking that it’s making sure there’s no traces of shampoo and conditioner left on my skin), applied with wet hands and usually removed with a flannel (though a couple of times a week I use it with my Clarisonic).

ExfoliateCattier White Clay Scrub. A new favourite which I use once or twice a week, I apply this to dry skin after cleansing and rub it around before rinsing off to reveal amazingly soft skin.

Morning L-R – Aurelia Cell Revitalise Moisturiser, Vichy Aqualia Eye Balm, Superdrug Clearly Youthful Day Serum, Pixi Glow Tonic

Tone – Pixi Glow Tonic. (separate review here) This is every bit as amazing as it’s supposed to be – smoothes, clears, adds glow and is all round wonderful.

EyesVichy Aqualia Thermal Awakening Eye Balm. This feels nicely refreshing and moisturising in the morning, and I feel I should give my eyes some extra TLC with all the poking they get from my contact lenses. I dot on and do a little pressure point eye massage to depuff and try to reduce dark circles (it does make a difference – check out this tutorial for a how-to!).

SerumSuperdrug Clearly Youthful Hydrating Day Serum. This isn’t just great for the price (£4.89), it’s great full stop! Lovely texture and sinks in really quickly. Full Clearly Youthful review coming this week so I’ll talk more about it then!

MoisturiserAurelia Cell Revitalise Day Moisturiser. Aurelia products just have the most gorgeous scent; this is all jasmine, mandarin and tuberose. I hardly need any of this cream so it’s lasting me ages – it moisturises perfectly and leaves a great base for makeup.

At the moment I’m not using additional SPF (there is no sun and my Givenchy HydraSparkling BB cream has factor 30 in), but when I do it’s always Avene High Protection Emulsion Factor 50 which is non greasy and lovely.

Evening cleanse – Vichy Micellar Oil & Organic Pharmacy Rose Cleansing Gel

First cleanseVichy Purete Thermale Beautifying Cleansing Micellar Oil. I always use an oil for my first cleanse as they’re the best for removing makeup – this is my current one and I really like the fragrance but I wouldn’t say it’s something I’m particularly loyal to (I have an Una Brennan oil waiting already for when this one is finished).

Second Cleanse – Organic Pharmacy Rose Facial Cleansing Gel. As before, because I’d use this once an hour if that were a normal thing to do.

Evening L-R Sanoflore Aqua Magnifica, Nude Rescue Oil. Superfacialist Rose Night Cream, Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum

ToneSanoflore Aqua Magnifica Botanical Skin Perfecting Essence. This has a really interesting tingly minty scent and just feels like a little bit of skin freshening before I start with all the overnight hydrating products. Full off essential oils and with salicylic acid to keep skin tone clear and bright.

SerumVichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydrating Serum. 90% as good as the pricier Clarins HydraQuench, sinks in and hydrates – makes skin feel ‘ahhh’ at the end of the day.

MoisturiserSuperfacialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Peaceful Skin Night Cream. This is a gorgeous cream, silky smooth and rose scented. It claims to give ‘peaceful’ skin and I genuinely think that’s the result. Full review of this one here.

OilNude Progenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil. Now that it’s colder and there’s all the heating going on I’m back to adding a couple of drops of oil to my night cream which really adds bounce and glow to my skin. This one contains bakuchiol which is a natural version of retinol so it has extra benefits in terms of improving skin tone (I really noticed a difference when I introduced this back in).

I’ll often use treatments of some type overnight depending on what’s going on with my skin but I’m going to talk about those separately as this is all about my everyday routine.

I’d love to hear about what you use on a daily basis – does this seem like a lot of products (Mum, you don’t need to comment, I know) or do you use more?
