2015 in beauty- my products of the year

It’s been so difficult to whittle these down to not be a neverending list of products, I’ve managed to get it down to 12 but it could have been soooo much longer. My products of the year are a mix of things which have been launched in 2015, and things which have been new to me in 2015.

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer – This is such a useful product – it’s a super pigmented cream which I use every day in some form. It can be a heavier coverage foundation, perfect concealer or mixed in with moisturiser or suncream to create a tint. You need hardly any of it as the pigment is so strong – I’ve had mine since June and I’m just about halfway through after daily use.

L’Oreal Color Riche lipstick in Eva’s Pure Red – I am so glad I impulse purchased this! It’s become one of the lipsticks I use most – great colour and texture, lasts ages and when it does fade it does so evenly so it’s one I wear if I know I’m not going to have time to think about what my lipstick’s doing.

& Other Stories Sunray Pleat Pearl Creme Highlighter – a very late addition to the list as I only bought it last week, but I’ve used it every day since. Sheer and iridescent, it’s my perfect non-glitzy highlighter.

Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer in Nude Pop – I wouldn’t have picked up a nude shade on my own as I’ve always found that they make me look a bit washed out, but since getting this as a magazine freebie it has become the lipstick that lives in my handbag (well, one of them, but this one doesn’t get swapped out!). I’ll definitely be buying a full size version of this – it’s the perfect colour & texture for when you just need to add something to your face that brightens but doesn’t shout for attention.

Revlon Gel Envy Nail Polish in Perfect Pair – Again, nude nail polishes are something I generally stay away from, as there has only been one I’ve ever liked which was, of course, a Chanel seasonal edition (Rose Cache). Since that ran out I’ve been looking for a dupe, and it turns out that this is it! I love the Gel Envy polishes anyway and I’m so happy that Revlon have added this shade!

Chanel Le Vernis – Terrana & Vert Obscur – I feel like Chanel has regained their nail mojo this Autumn, both of these colours are super chic and have that slight individuality that I love from Chanel polishes – the differences in texture and finish that you just can’t dupe.

Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover for Glitter – This is lifechanging! (I’m saying this before I’ve tried the Kure Bazaar peel off basecoat, so my 2016 opinion may change…). The simple addition of a scrubby sponge to the remover pot makes removing glitter polish almost as easy as removing normal polish – I love my glitters and I will be stocking up on this every time I am anywhere near a Sephora.

Darphin Aromatic Purifying Balm – This is a little miracle worker for reddened, upset, breakout-y skin – massage in overnight and things are much better in the morning!

Organic Pharmacy Rose Facial Cleansing Gel – If I just had one product of the year it would be this – my skin has never felt so soft after cleansing. Love, love love.

Hyaluronic Acid supplements – These have done more for my dehydrated skin than anything – full review coming this week.

Pixi Glow Tonic – As I said in my review of this – believe the hype. Clears and adds glow.

Superfacialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Peaceful Skin Night Cream – I’ve already repurchased this one – it’s a lovely product to use and really does leave skin looking well rested.

Nude Progenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil – My skin looks better in every way when I use this at night, that’s all I need to say!

So many products to talk about! What have you loved this year?
